Two answers to the question I receive a few times per week: Question: Can you show me a few more pictures? Answer one: All listed stones are in hands of my assistant that ships them. If you are a producer of horror movies I can ask her to take a few pictures but please don't show them to your children: poor kids will have a nervous breakdown. Answer two: In 40+ years I didn't see a single BOTH good and realistic picture of the stone if it was emerald. For the reason I don't quite understand emerald is a stone that "doesn't want to be photographed" (it doesn't apply to any other stone).

Finally we found a photographer who agreed to take pictures for us (two before him tried and run away in horror) but his pictures when good are usually artistic-surrealistic interpretation. Perfectly clean not a microscopic piece of dust in any position face up. Exceptional especially for the dark stone - transparency. Omitting my usual whining (definition of my assistant) no unbelievable inner glow - very good picture for emerald. Exceptionally clean and transparent, extremely bright, rich, brilliant and so much excuse me SO MUCH glowing incredible high-end stone!

But we live in ever-changing world. A few days ago (in October 2019) one customer sent me a message. Came back from the HK (Hong Kong - one of the few top dealers only gem shows) gem show last month and the prices were crazy high.

Needless to say I came away very unimpressed! These people were supposed to be wholesalers, trying to price like a retail store. I didn't go to gem shows for about a year and contacted our supplier that attended almost all of them. Yes, it is prices now and he added that prices for such stones as tanzanite and paraiba tourmaline (I don't sell tourmaline) are moving steadily towards astronomical.

I never refer even to values of International Gem Societies even though it is strictly educational world famous institution let aside born in narcotic hallucinations prices in various trade publications, but Gem World International is different. Modest because top brick and mortar stores charge 2-3 times more. GIA certificate is available upon request (it applies to any other listed and non-listed stone).

Two tiny to microscopic specks of dust barely-barely visible in one position and still not strictly face up. Since inner glow cannot be photographed as usual our photographer (using hundreds of strategically placed lights) compensated it by exaggerated brilliance. Better than nothing and possible window but all these reflections ate transparency. Actually picture doesn't show anything but somehow tells it is top stone. Exceptionally clean, transparent and brilliant beautiful stone of the gorgeous glowing color!

In actuality it is not Upper Fine, but Lower Fine Grade. GIA certificate is available upon request, but frankly I don't know why some may want it if a stone is emerald (or tanzanite).

Any not only gemologist but experienced dealer needs just a brief look to say if a stone natural or synthetic or diffused. Synthetic resins/polymers are easily recognized.
